Description
The Long-nosed Snake Eel (Ophisurus macrorhynchos) is a predatory marine eel characterized by its elongated body and distinctive long, pointed snout. It spends most of its time buried in sandy or muddy substrates, with only its head protruding, waiting to ambush unsuspecting prey. This species is found throughout the Indo-Pacific and requires a deep sand bed in captivity.
