Description
The Humpback Blackdevil is a deep-sea anglerfish characterized by its dark, globular body and a prominent bioluminescent lure (esca) on its head, used to attract prey in the abyssal zone. Females are significantly larger than the parasitic males. This predatory fish is a solitary inhabitant of the bathypelagic and mesopelagic zones of the world's oceans.
