Description

The Siamese Fighting Fish, or Betta, is a highly popular freshwater fish renowned for its stunning colors and flowing fins, particularly in male specimens. While males are famously aggressive towards other males, they can coexist with carefully chosen peaceful tankmates in a well-maintained aquarium. As labyrinth fish, they possess a special organ allowing them to breathe atmospheric air from the water's surface.
