Description

The Golden Scorpionfish (Scorpaena scrofa) is a large, camouflaged marine predator found in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean. It possesses highly venomous dorsal spines for defense and is an ambush predator, feeding on fish and crustaceans. Its mottled reddish-brown and white coloration allows it to blend seamlessly with its rocky and algal habitats.
