Description
The Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater fish renowned for its vibrant colors and elaborate finnage, especially in males. Males are highly territorial and should generally be housed individually or in carefully planned community tanks. As labyrinth fish, they can breathe atmospheric air, allowing them to survive in oxygen-poor waters.
