Description

The Blue Acara is a popular South American cichlid known for its iridescent blue-green scales and relatively peaceful demeanor compared to many other cichlids. They are hardy and can be a good choice for beginner cichlid keepers, thriving in well-maintained freshwater aquariums. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial, especially during breeding.
