Description

The Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater aquarium fish known for its vibrant colors and flowing fins. While males are famously aggressive towards each other, females can sometimes be kept in sororities or with peaceful community fish in appropriately sized tanks. They are labyrinth fish, meaning they can breathe atmospheric air.
