Description
The Windowpane Flounder is a flatfish native to the Western Atlantic, known for its thin, translucent body and excellent camouflage on sandy or muddy bottoms. It is a predatory bottom-dweller, ambushing small fish and crustaceans. Its eyes are typically on the left side of its head, allowing it to observe its surroundings while buried.
