Description

The Paintedfin Goby is a small, attractive goby characterized by its mottled brown and cream patterning and iridescent blue-green markings on its operculum. While often sold as a freshwater fish, it thrives best in brackish conditions, where it exhibits better health and coloration. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial towards conspecifics or similar-looking fish.
