Description
The Northern Kingfish is a slender, bottom-dwelling saltwater fish characterized by its distinctive dark, oblique bars on a silvery-brown body and a single barbel on its chin. It is a popular surf fishing target known for its excellent taste and its habit of feeding on benthic invertebrates in sandy coastal waters. Due to its large size and specific temperate saltwater requirements, it is rarely kept in home aquariums.
