Description
The North Atlantic Opah, also known as Moonfish, is a large, colorful, deep-bodied pelagic fish found in temperate and tropical oceans worldwide, including the North Atlantic. It is notable for being the only known fully endothermic fish, maintaining a body temperature warmer than its surroundings. This solitary predator primarily feeds on squid, crustaceans, and small fish and is not suitable for home aquariums.
