Description
The Indo-Pacific Sergeant Major is a hardy and active damselfish known for its distinctive white body with five vertical black or dark blue bands, often with yellow accents on the dorsal fin and tail. They are common inhabitants of coral reefs and rocky shores throughout the Indo-Pacific, feeding on algae, small invertebrates, and zooplankton. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial, especially during breeding or in smaller aquarium settings.
