Description
The Lahontan Redside is a slender, active minnow native to the Lahontan Basin in the western United States. It is characterized by a prominent red or orange stripe along its flank, especially vibrant during breeding season, and a dark lateral stripe above it. These schooling fish thrive in cool, clear, flowing waters and are omnivorous, feeding on insects, algae, and detritus.
