Description

The Hogfish (Lachnolaimus maximus) is a large, distinctive wrasse found in the Western Atlantic. Known for its elongated snout and prominent tusks, it is a protogynous hermaphrodite. This species requires a very large aquarium and a diet rich in crustaceans and mollusks.
