This large surgeonfish, often known as the Yellowfin or Ringtail Surgeonfish, is characterized by its greyish body, distinctive wavy blue lines on its face, and a pale caudal peduncle. It is a robust herbivore that requires a very spacious aquarium to thrive, and while generally peaceful towards dissimilar fish, it can be territorial with other tangs.
