Description
The Compressed Cichlid is a unique species from Lake Tanganyika, known for its extremely laterally compressed body, which allows it to navigate tight crevices in rocky environments. These cichlids are micropredators, feeding on small invertebrates and fish fry found within their rocky habitats. They are territorial, especially during breeding, but can be kept in a species-specific or large Tanganyikan community tank.
