Description
The Butterfly Goodeid is a beautiful livebearer native to Mexico, recognized by its iridescent scales and often yellow-tipped fins, especially in males. While generally peaceful, they can exhibit fin-nipping behavior, necessitating careful tankmate selection and adequate space. They are primarily herbivorous, making them effective algae eaters in the aquarium.
