Description
The Bumphead Parrotfish is the largest species of parrotfish, easily recognized by the prominent bulbous forehead on adults. These massive herbivores play a vital role in coral reef ecosystems by grazing on algae and coral, contributing significantly to sand production. Due to their immense size and specialized dietary needs, they are exclusively found in public aquariums and are not suitable for home aquaria.
