The Arapaima, also known as Pirarucu, is one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, native to the Amazon Basin. It is a highly predatory fish known for its impressive size and unique ability to breathe air. Due to its immense adult size, it is only suitable for expert aquarists with very large, specialized aquarium setups or public aquariums.
