Description
The Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid is a popular and colorful South American cichlid known for its distinctive dorsal fin, especially in males. Females, like the one pictured, are smaller and typically less colorful, often displaying a yellow body with a black lateral stripe, particularly when breeding. They are territorial but generally peaceful community fish when kept with appropriate tankmates and provided with ample hiding spots.
