The Yellow-fin Xenotilapia is a schooling cichlid native to the sandy and intermediate zones of Lake Tanganyika. Known for its sand-sifting behavior, it feeds on small invertebrates and detritus. This species is generally peaceful and thrives in a well-maintained Tanganyikan biotope aquarium.
