Description
The Woundfin is a critically endangered, slender minnow native to the Virgin River basin in the southwestern United States. It is characterized by a spine-like ray in its dorsal fin and a silvery body. This omnivorous fish primarily feeds on insect larvae and algae in its natural, fast-flowing river habitat.
