Description
The Whitefin Surgeonfish is a striking marine fish known for its oval body and a distinct white stripe at the base of its caudal fin, often accompanied by a black bar behind the eye. It is a prolific algae grazer, making it beneficial for controlling nuisance algae in a large reef or fish-only aquarium. While generally peaceful towards dissimilar species, it can be territorial with other surgeonfish or fish of similar body shape.
