Description
The White Sands Pupfish is a small, incredibly hardy fish endemic to the extreme, fluctuating saline waters of the Tularosa Basin in New Mexico. Known for its remarkable adaptability to wide ranges in temperature and salinity, it primarily feeds on algae and small invertebrates. Males can be territorial towards each other, especially during breeding.
