Description
The Red Drum, often referred to by various local names, is a large, predatory marine fish identified by its distinctive black spot at the base of its tail. Found in coastal waters of the Western Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, juveniles inhabit estuaries before adults move to deeper waters. Due to its immense size, it is not suitable for typical home aquariums.
