Description
The Westslope Cutthroat Trout is a subspecies of cutthroat trout native to cold, clear mountain streams and lakes of western North America. Known for its distinctive red or orange 'cutthroat' markings under the jaw, it is a prized game fish. This predatory species requires highly oxygenated, pristine water conditions and a very large environment, making it unsuitable for most home aquariums.
