Description
The Variegated Emperor (*Lethrinus variegatus*) is a large, predatory saltwater fish known for its elongated body, a distinctive yellow stripe along its side, and a yellow snout. Native to the Indo-Pacific, it inhabits sandy and rubble areas of reefs and lagoons, feeding primarily on benthic invertebrates and small fish. Due to its potential size and carnivorous diet, it requires a very large aquarium and careful tankmate selection.
