Description

The Banded Tilapia (*Tilapia sparrmanii*) is a hardy and attractive cichlid native to Southern Africa, known for its distinctive banded pattern and a prominent black spot on its dorsal fin. While generally robust, this species can be territorial and semi-aggressive, especially during breeding or in smaller tanks. It thrives in well-maintained freshwater aquariums with appropriate tankmates.
