Description
The Pelagic Thresher Shark is a large, open-ocean species distinguished by its exceptionally long, whip-like upper caudal fin lobe, which can be as long as its body. It uses this powerful tail to stun schooling fish and squid before consuming them. Due to its immense size and specialized pelagic lifestyle, this shark is exclusively found in large public aquariums and is not suitable for home aquaria.
