Description
The Sumatra Betta, likely referring to Betta imbellis, is a wild Betta species native to Sumatra and other parts of Southeast Asia. Unlike the highly aggressive Betta splendens, it is known for its more peaceful nature, though males can still be territorial. They exhibit beautiful iridescent colors, especially when flaring, and prefer heavily planted tanks with soft, acidic water.
