Description

The Striate Anglerfish, also known as the Hairy Frogfish, is a master of camouflage, blending seamlessly with its surroundings using its textured, appendage-covered body. This ambush predator uses a modified dorsal fin spine as a fishing lure to attract unsuspecting prey. It "walks" along the substrate on its modified pectoral and pelvic fins rather than swimming.
