Description
The Stonefish (Synanceia verrucosa) is an extremely venomous marine fish renowned for its exceptional camouflage, allowing it to blend perfectly with its rocky or coral surroundings. It is an ambush predator, lying in wait for small fish and crustaceans to pass by before striking with incredible speed. Its dorsal spines contain a potent neurotoxin, making it one of the most dangerous fish to humans.
