Description
The Stone Loach is a slender, bottom-dwelling freshwater fish native to Europe and parts of Asia. It features mottled brown coloration for camouflage and distinctive barbels around its mouth, which it uses to forage for small invertebrates in the substrate. This peaceful species thrives in cool, well-oxygenated water with plenty of hiding spots.
