Description

The Stone Loach is a hardy, bottom-dwelling freshwater fish native to cool, clear streams and rivers across Europe and Asia. It features an elongated body with mottled brown coloration and distinctive barbels around its mouth, which it uses to forage for small invertebrates and detritus in the substrate. This peaceful species makes an interesting addition to a cool-water aquarium, preferring well-oxygenated water and plenty of hiding spots.
