Description
The Spotted Sunfish is a small, robust sunfish native to the southeastern United States, easily identified by the numerous dark spots covering its body and fins. It thrives in slow-moving, vegetated waters and is a popular species for both aquariums and sport fishing. While generally peaceful, they can be territorial during breeding.
