Description
The Spot-tail Anglerfish is a master of camouflage, blending seamlessly with its surroundings to ambush prey. This sedentary marine fish uses a modified dorsal fin spine as a 'fishing rod' (illicium) to lure unsuspecting smaller fish and crustaceans within striking distance. Due to its predatory nature, it is best kept in a species-specific tank.
