Description
The Spiny Gurnard, also known as the Tub Gurnard, is a distinctive temperate marine fish characterized by its large, fan-like pectoral fins, often with vibrant blue edges and dark spots. It possesses a spiny head and a mottled reddish-brown body, blending well with sandy or muddy seafloors. This predatory bottom-dweller uses its modified pectoral fin rays to 'walk' along the substrate in search of crustaceans and small fish.
