Description
The Silverbelly, or Common Ponyfish, is a small, schooling marine and brackish water fish known for its highly compressed, silvery body and ability to extend its mouth into a tube. They are often found in coastal waters, estuaries, and mangrove areas, feeding on small invertebrates and detritus. These fish are generally peaceful and can be kept in a community saltwater or brackish aquarium with appropriate tankmates.
