Description

Cotylopus acutipinnis is a unique freshwater goby endemic to Reunion Island, characterized by its ability to cling to rocks in fast-flowing streams using specialized pelvic fins. Its mottled coloration provides excellent camouflage against rocky substrates. These gobies are carnivorous, feeding on small invertebrates and requiring highly oxygenated, turbulent water conditions in captivity.
