Description
The Sand Tonguefish is a flat, elongated, bottom-dwelling marine fish with both eyes located on the right side of its head. Its mottled tan to brown coloration provides excellent camouflage on sandy or muddy substrates, allowing it to ambush small benthic invertebrates. They are generally peaceful and spend most of their time buried or resting on the substrate.
