Description

The Saddled Snake Eel is a distinctive marine fish known for its elongated, snake-like body and striking pattern of dark saddles or bands over a lighter background. It is a nocturnal burrowing predator, spending much of its day hidden in the sand or substrate, emerging at night to hunt small fish and crustaceans. These eels require a deep sand bed in an aquarium to thrive.
