Description
The Saddle Wrasse is a vibrant and active saltwater fish endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, known for its striking coloration including a blue head, an orange mid-body 'saddle,' and a green-blue tail. This carnivore requires a spacious, mature reef tank with plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging. While generally peaceful with larger, robust tankmates, it can be aggressive towards smaller, docile fish or other wrasses.
