Description
The Roach (*Rutilus rutilus*) is a widespread freshwater fish native to Europe and Western Asia, characterized by its silvery body and reddish fins. These schooling fish are commonly found in rivers, lakes, and ponds, often gathering in large numbers for spawning, as seen in the image alongside Bream. While hardy, their large adult size and need for cool, well-oxygenated water make them more suitable for large outdoor ponds than typical home aquariums.
