Description

The River Gudgeon (*Gobio gobio*) is a small, elongated, bottom-dwelling freshwater fish native to rivers and streams across Europe and parts of Asia. They are characterized by their two barbels at the corners of their mouth, which they use to forage for benthic invertebrates in the substrate. These peaceful, schooling fish are hardy but require cool, well-oxygenated water and a suitable substrate in an aquarium.
