Description

The River Chub is a robust, bottom-dwelling minnow native to clear, cool streams and rivers of eastern North America. Males develop prominent breeding tubercles on their heads during spawning season, as seen in the image, and construct large stone nests. They are active fish that require spacious aquariums with good water flow and filtration.
