Description

The Razor Moonfish, also known as African Pompano, is a large, silvery marine fish characterized by its highly compressed, disc-shaped body and, especially in juveniles, extremely long, filamentous dorsal and pelvic fin rays. These rays can be several times the length of the body, giving it a distinctive appearance. It is a fast-swimming predatory fish found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide, requiring very large aquariums for long-term care.
