Description
Rainbow Trout are a highly adaptable species known for their distinctive pinkish-red stripe along their sides and spotted bodies. Native to cold-water tributaries of the Pacific Ocean, they are popular game fish that can live in freshwater or migrate to the ocean as Steelhead. Keeping them in an aquarium requires immense tank size, very cold, highly oxygenated water, and specialized care.
