Description

The Pseudotropheus perileucos is a striking Mbuna cichlid endemic to Lake Malawi, known for its deep blue body and often lighter, sometimes white, lips. These territorial fish require a rocky aquarium setup with plenty of hiding spots to mitigate their aggressive nature. They are primarily herbivorous grazers in the wild, feeding on aufwuchs, but will accept a variety of foods in captivity.
