Description
The Peruvian Mojarra is a silvery, deep-bodied fish with large scales, characterized by its protrusible mouth used for sifting through substrate. Native to the Eastern Pacific's coastal and estuarine waters, it is primarily a commercial food fish. Due to its potential size and specific brackish to marine habitat requirements, it is rarely kept in home aquariums.
