Description
The Penang Betta, Betta pugnax, is a fascinating mouthbrooding Betta species originating from Southeast Asia. Unlike its more aggressive cousin, the Siamese fighting fish, it is generally more peaceful and can be kept in pairs or groups in a well-structured aquarium. They thrive in blackwater conditions with plenty of leaf litter and hiding spots.
